I must say it was so interesting. What really got to me is the class of the company, which launched on the 27th of October 1927. This was the first airline who served food. And this was no ordinary food.
The stewardesses had to cook it all from scratch. It was like first class restaurant but in the sky.
Since then we all know and remember the beautiful sign even though it did change few times
What a classic don't you think so?
The other thing what got my attention was the fashion, just take a look at class 1944 stewardesses
Pan Am air was very selective when choosing their crew. All of the ladies had to speak few languages and be very smart. Of course the look played a big part too. As I love make up I was amazed that they had to wear the same shade of lipstick and so on. WOW!
This company was the first one to have this amazing fashion style and look.
This is a true inspiration, I had no idea how much work and precision they have put in to this world class airlines. I really do wish they would bring it back. They even used fashion designers for the clothes, when the stewardesses waled in to an airport everyone knew they are the PAN AM Air girls.
For me this is POWER!
I could see everyone was so proud to wear the badge. This airlines represented the USA all over the world. They were the ambassadors for the country.
When they closed the airlines in 1991 it was so sad to see the most stylish and fashionable company to go.
Since then I think few companies tried but there is nothing like PAN AM Air!!
